I'm alive!

   Hello my fellow polish addicts! Hope you've all had a wonderful weekend so far. :) Without getting into too much detail...my life got bombarded with one thing after another since the last time I posted. Here is a quick summary of it all: (first and foremost...) NEW JOB!, my sister came to visit from FL, great grandmother passed away, got a gym membership (so lots of working out!), lived life a little and...my laptop DIED. Luckily my computing troubles are fixed for the most part so I hope to resume working on my blog very soon! (Lost some of the work I had done as well. :( ) Enough talking and on to one of my recently purchased (and currently FAVORITE polish evar!)

   This is my first ever half-moon mani using Sinful Colors Black on Black as a base color, with Nfu Oh #52 on top. The little steel balls I bought from Born Pretty Store and rhinestones are from eBay.

   Hola chicas! Espero estén disfrutando su fin de semana! Sin escribirles muchos detalles...me tuve que ir en hiatus porque me an sucedido muchas cosas desde la ultima vez que hice un post. Esas cosas incluyen: nuevo trabajo!, mi hermana me vino a visitar, mi abuelita falleció, me inscribí al gimnasio y mi laptop se arruino. Menos mal que la mayoría de mis problemas se an resuelto. Espero poder resumir mis proyectos y terminarlos luego!

   Esta es mi primera vez haciendo un mani de media luna. Use el esmalte de Sinful Colors Black on Black para la base y uno de mis nuevos esmaltes de Nfu Oh #52 encima.

Zoya and Glitter!

     A while back I realized I had a few untried Zoya's, Edyta being one of them. I heard so many raves about this color on nail blogs/forums and even I loved how it looked in the bottle when I received it but when I put it on I was majorly disappointed with how it looked on me. It just looked like a hot mess. And to make matters worse...I then decided it would be a good idea to stamp it with with my newly acquired HK plate from the Born Pretty Store and...yeah, I don't even know why I'm posting this:

     Hace unos días atrás me di cuenta que tenia varios esmaltes Zoya que todavía no había usado. El color que decidí ponerme primero fue Edyta. Había leído tantas cosas buenas de este esmalte en los foros y blogs y después de ver Edyta en la botella a mi también me gusto muchísimo! Pero cuando al fin me lo puse no me gusto para nada como se me miraba! El color es precioso pero sentí que mis manos se miraban sucias jajaja Luego para ver de que se mirara mejor decidi usar las estampillas de mi platillo nuevo de HK que me mando Born Pretty Store y la idea salio todo un desastre. Después de tomarme la foto me lo quite todo. :(

I'm back!

     Before saying anything at all...I'd like to apologize for the unannounced hiatus! It started out as a busy week, which was followed by a week of being sick...and from there things just got crazy and before I knew it I had been gone for far too long! I'd like to thank my niece for bugging me nearly every day to update my blog...without her encouragement I'd probably be laying down in hopes of getting rid of this migraine I've had for about 3 days now! I'm sad to have lost 2 followers but thanks to the other 5 for sticking around! xoxo

Art Deco pens!

     I always love checking out the dollar stores for nail polish and I came across some LA Colors nail polish and art deco pens! :) I picked up a few of each and played around with them and this was the result:

Spanish:

     Siempre me gusta pasar por las dollar stores a ver si tienen esmaltes y esta ultima vez que fui encontre varios esmaltes de LA colors y unos que son de brocha fina para decorar. Me puse a jugar con los esmaltes y este fue el resultado:

L.A. Colors - Fuel, 3 coats w/ Poshe top coat / 3 capas con Poshe top coat

L.A. Colors Art Deco - Intense Pink, Black, Yellow 

     This was my first time ever free-handing a design on my nails...it wasn't too hard but then again my design is a bit craptastic and simple! lol I think I need to free-hand a little bit more, I really had fun doing this!

     Esta fue mi primera vez haciendo esto...me gustaría practicar un poco mas y comprar mas colores y brochas! Me divertí mucho pintándome estos diseños!

Went to Ulta the other day and...

     I ended up with new polishes! :) I walked in looking for something that was sheer and milky in color and I found this polish sitting in the clearance section...and for $2 or $3 I couldn't really leave it behind. (Not to mention I didn't own any Essie polishes prior to this one!)

Spanish:

     Hace unos días fui a Ulta en busca de un esmalte claro como para usar en un french manicure y cuando pase por la sección de cosas rebajadas encontré este esmalte por $2 o $3. A ese precio se me hizo difícil no traérmelo y encima de eso seria mi primer esmalte de Essie.

Essie - Cool Lots, 5 coats w/ Poshe top coat / 5 capas con Poshe top coat

     I loved the jelly-like finish on this polish but that was about it! I don't usually like doing anything more than 2 coats so you can only imagine how I felt about having to do five. On top of that, the color only looked nice in the sunlight, otherwise it seriously wasn't noticeable. Not worth the trouble imo.

     Me gusto mucho como se miraba este color en la luz y que era un esmalte jelly pero al contrario no pierdan su tiempo con este color! Cinco capas para que se mirara mas o menos no vale la pena. :( Con razón lo tenían en oferta! jajaja

A slightly long but tragic post...

     I'm going to keep this short since I'm going to spam you all with pictures of Hyper Haute from China Glaze's Tronica collection. :)
     It seemed like most people were totally disappointed with this collection because they were expecting more holo, but I actually liked it! Yes, it would have been nice to have some OMG like holo but these are just so pretty and shiny! Take a look:

     No las quiero entretener mucho con lo que tengo que decir porque les voy a enseñar un montón de fotos de Hyper Haute de la colección Tronica que saco hace poco China Glaze.
     Parece ser que a mucha gente no le gustaron mucho los esmaltes que salieron con Tronica porque no son verdaderos holos como los que salieron con OMG pero a mi si! Se ven super bonitos en el sol y brillan como no se dan una idea! Miren:

     And now for the tragedy...I am totally in love with this polish as you can probably tell. But after wearing this for just a few hours and a shower...

     Estoy loca por este esmalte! No pude dejar de verme las uñas durante el día. Pero después de bañarme y unas horas mas tarde...

     Look at how horribly this polish peeled on me. I haven't had this issue since I was using Seche Vite as my top coat! (Another product I absolutely love but does not work with me.) For reference, I use Sally Hansen's Double Duty for a base and Poshe top coat. I haven't really had any problems with this combo until I used it with Tronica polishes. Do any of you have these and are they giving you trouble? :( Maybe I need a new base coat...

     Miren como se me despego el esmalte! No e tenido este problema desde que usaba Seche Vite! (Seche Vite es otro producto que me encanta pero no me funciona muy bien.) Para referencia, uso Sally Hansen's Double Duty como base y Poshe para mi top coat. Nunca había tenido problemas con esta combinación hasta ahora. Tal vez necesito una base nueva. Alguna de ustedes tienen estos esmaltes? Les han dado el mismo problema?

Busy week!

     Hello lovelies! :) It's been nearly a week since I was last able to update my blog...sorry! Unfortunately I was super busy dealing with a ton of things such as helping my sister move in to my house and going out to eat, movies and lots of shopping (not to mention I spent several days waiting to get a little sunshine so I could rock my Tronica polishes!) And even though I didn't get around to updating on here...I did take some pictures for you all! <3

Still no sun...

     Hello! How are you all today? So I've been waiting for the sun to come out with no luck. :( Until then...here is one of my favorite nail polishes. I wore this color on Valentine's Day. Sooo pretty.

Spanish:
     Hola! Como están? Me la e pasado esperando que salga el sol pero no e tenido suerte. :( Para mientras los dejo con unos de mis favoritos esmaltes. Me puse este color para el día del amor y la amistad. Se miraba taaaan bonito.

     And for good measure...another random mani I found on my camera pre-blog. Color Club's Worth the Risque. I had such a hard time trying to get the holo to show so I will definitely have to re-swatch this.

     Today I have a mani that I did a few days ago using China Glaze's Re-fresh mint. I really wanted to start showing you all my newly acquired goodies but I need it to be sunny out to make it worthwhile. (hint hint) :) Hopefully tomorrow!

Sea Spray!

I finally got around to using Sea Spray! It's such a pretty color...it reminds me of the sky on a rainy/cloudy day. :) (I think I'll be reaching for this quite a bit). I did find this a little hard to apply as it seemed runny yet thick? gloopy? I don't know...it just wasn't an easy application for me and went on a little bit weird on the nail, not something a little Seche Vite can't fix though. :)

Al fin pude usar Sea Spray! Me encanta este color aunque si me recuerda de un día nublado. Se me hizo un poco difícil ponerme este esmalte pero aun así creo que lo usare seguido!

Latest addition - Claire's Venomous!

Hello! So I went to the mall a few days ago and passed by Claire's and I just had to stop by to check out their nail polishes since I hadn't done so in months! I only managed to pick up two colors, Venomous and some other one I can't remember the name of...but I've been dying to go back to pick up the glittery ones which I left behind after talking myself out of needing more polish, :(

I actually liked this Claire's polish. The only problem with Venomous was that it took way too many coats to get it to look like it does in the bottle. :(

Hola! Como están? :) Hace unos dias fui al mall y decidi entrar a Claire's para ver los esmaltes. Al final sali de la tienda con dos esmaltes y el que les voy a enseñar hoy es Venomous. El color esta precioso pero tomo muchas capas para que se viera como se ve en el bote. :(

Zoya!

Good morning! <3 Today I have a picture of one of my favorite Zoya colors...Crystal (one of the 3 freebies that I picked). I'm actually quite new to Zoya and was very impressed with their polishes after trying them out in their recent 3 free promo on Facebook. The formula was great, the brush was nice and overall very easy to apply. But what really sold me on Zoya polishes was when I did a mani for both my mother and niece and saw a week later they still had their polish in tact with minimal tip wear!! I never have my nail polish on longer than a day or two so I never get to test that out. So big props to Zoya for not only having awesome colors but for making a great overall product!

This was applied quickly (as you can probably tell, I'm sorry!) and had been on for two or three days:

Buenos días! <3 Ahora les tengo una foto de unos de mis favoritos esmaltes de Zoya que se llama Crystal (fue unos de los 3 gratis que recibí). Nunca había comprado esmaltes Zoya pero cuando tuvieron la promoción de 3 gratis en Facebook decidí que era buen tiempo para hacerlo! Y la verdad estoy muy contenta de haberlo hecho porque me gustaron mucho todos los esmaltes. Pero lo que mas me gusto fue de que hace unos días les pinte las uñas a mi mama y sobrina y después de una semana el esmalte todavía se miraba muy bien!

So I woke up feeling pretty rested and motivated and decided today was the day to get around to cropping some nail pics I have on my memory card. Unfortunately, I only managed to get a few pictures in before a wave of laziness hit me! :( So here is one of the mani's I did get around to cropping! :) A bit messy...I probably could have done 3 coats but as you will come to learn in the near future...I hate doing 3 coats+! On top of that...it didn't look that bad in person! And thanks to Christy's blog sale...I have this awesome purple. This is Funky Fingers in Chesire.

Ahora me desperté con muchas ganas de hacer varias cositas que tenia pendientes...pero no había ni pasado una hora cuando se me fue toda la motivación. :( Pero si logre recortar unas cuantas fotos que tenia en la memoria de mi cámara para poder enseñarles a ustedes! Creo que este esmalte requería 3 capas para que se viera bien en la foto pero como se darán cuenta...odio ponerme 3 capas o mas! Encima de eso, en persona no se miraban los parches que salieron en la foto. Gracias al blog sale que tuvo Christy tengo este esmalte morado! Es de Funky Fingers y se llama Chesire.

Crushed Candy!

I wanted something bright under Crushed Candy so I figured I should try out Poptastic which I bought from the lovely Christy.

Queria un color fuerte debajo de Crushed Candy y se me hizo buena ocasión para probar por primera vez el color Poptastic que compre hace poco en un blog sale que tuvo Christy.

My crackles didn't turn out too great...it's kinda tricky to use. Hopefully my next crackle mani comes out better.
Mi crackle manicure no me salio muy bien pero espero que cuando me ponga los de mas me salga mejor. :)
