Kleancolor - Holo Blue

Sorry I haven't posted much. I'm still wearing my 'rockstar nails'. :( And it's totally killing me...I want to change my mani already! Maybe I'll paint over it today and see how it looks. :) I'm thinking I should try a jelly sandwich...seeing as how I've never done one before!

In the meantime...since I still have the same mani that was in my last post...I dug up a super pretty NOTfew months ago to show you! So here we go...take a look at the beautiful Holo Blue by Kleancolor!

Hola chicas!

This is 1 coat of Kleancolor - Holo Blue over Essence - Forever Mine from the Denim Wanted collection.

Again, as with any glittery polish...these pictures did not do this polish combination justice! It was so beautiful, sparkly, and jelly-like almost! Got tons of compliments on this one. If you don't own the Kleancolor Holo's...you need to get them because they are stunning in person!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you all have a great Thursday! <3

Rockstar nails: Silver holo

Hey girlies! Hope you all have had a great weekend! (Or at least a better one than I did.) I've been at home in bed for most of it because I've been feeling pretty awful. :( but I'm getting better! :)

Anyway, as I removed my geometric mani a few days ago I was reminded of the many breaks I had on several nails. I probably could have gotten away with just polishing them as usual but I really didn't want to risk any of them breaking off completely (I can't stand having ridiculously uneven nails!)...so I made the difficult decision to give myself a gel manicure for reinforcement purposes as I've never really had much luck with the tea bag method of repairing a nail.

I know I can still paint over this and remove it with non-acetone but I feel like it looks chunky when I do that. It's okay though...I prefer chunky over broken nails! Anyway...to make myself like it a little more...I went for glitter...and lot's of it! These are my 'Rockstar Nails':

Hola chicas!

I used the Gelish Foundation base, polish in Vegas Nights with WnW Fantasy Makers silver holo glitter scrubbed in, and two coats of Gelish Top it Off.

and a random video I shot for fun. Wasn't meant to be posted but after looking at the pictures...I realized they didn't do this mani justice. It's the only way to show how shiny and sparkly this is!

Hope you all enjoy they rest of your weekend! xoxo

I'm so excited after logging in and finding several new followers! Hello and welcome to you all! :) I feel so pumped after reading all of the lovely comments from you guys...thanks so much!

I am currently naked (lol...just took off my 'geometric mani') and having trouble deciding which untried to put on next! So for now...I'll leave you with some past NOTD's. Hope you like them!

Revlon - Naughty aka Perplex, 2 coats/capas

Then I decided to make it a Robin Moses inspired mani by using The Best Glue Ever and Martha Stewart glitter. Using a watered down version of TBGE and a striping brush I made vertical lines on my nails and then scrubbed in red, green, and holographic glitter. After adding the glitter...my lines didn't look like lines anymore so I added a few black lines using black acrylic paint and a striping brush. This looked so cool IRL! Thank you Robin Moses!

And here is a random swatch of Maybelline - Cool Couture, 2 coats/capas. I felt like this looked so blah on me...maybe it needed some stamping. :(

Okay...now I'm off to rummage through my untrieds! Thanks again for subscribing! xoxo

Polish Days: Geometry

Hi girls! So I decided to join the Polish Days group! I figured it would be a good way to motivate myself to do a little more nail art. (I have tons of nail art stuff I never use!) Sadly...I totally thought the day to post was today, Sept. 5th and it turns out it was due yesterday! Ugh. Horrible way to start.

It's okay though - I made a simple design and I'm posting it today and that's all that matters! So yesterday's Polish Day was supposed to be geometry themed. I could not come up with something more creative for the life of me...so I asked the SO for some help for the accent nail and the rest was just random placement of colors sectioned off with acrylic paint.

Hola!

Here is my base color which was Essie - Play Date, 2 coats.

And then my random design. The black is one by Rimmel and the sparkly stuff is Holo Chrome by Kleancolor. The lines and accent nail were done with acrylic paint.

Job hunting!

I finally did it. I quit my job! I couldn't be any happier right now. It feels so good to be free of all the drama, depression and uncertainty that was associated with it. But that means I have to job hunt now...which isn't all that fun either. I'm just praying I find something soon! :)

For today's fauxnad of the day I used a polish that didn't get much attention from the nail blogging world (as far as I'm aware of) by Revlon called Downtown. It came out with the Edgy Elegance collection which came out about a year ago, I think. It consisted of 8 polishes, all with the same metallic/shimmery like finish. The formula on Downtown was a little on the thick side but applied well. This is probably one of my better stamping jobs as it is really hard for me to fit any design on my nails at their shortest. So here tare my nails filed down as far as possible with a design from the BM-225 plate.

I.Hate.Mondays!

Just when I thought things could not get any worse, they did. I accidentally ran over a parking block and messed up my car. I don't even want to know how much my stupid mistake is going to cost. I just adopted a dog, the person I work for has seriously cut down on my work days and now the car problem. I feel like all I ever do here is whine about my personal life but times have been rough! Sorry! :( Anyway, this is all so depressing because all of this money is money that could have gone to pretty polishes I've been wanting and now it is looking like I'm going into a low-buy/no-buy.

Back to what this blog is about...today I have a Robin Moses inspired mani. I did this a while back and totally loved how it looked in person. Obviously mine is no where near as awesome as Robin's but I tried! The base polish is China Glaze - Harvest Moon (love this color!) and the design was made using acrylic paint I bought from Michael's. The brushes used were those cheap ones from eBay that come in a 3 pack.

sorry for the blurry pictures!

Happy Saturday!!

So I was going to post today's mani but I'm about to hop in the shower and get ready to go out and party! I'm running late already! lol :) Anyway, while looking through my photobucket I found this yummy mani. Happy Saturday girls!
